Utah Pi Xi

In the fall of 1947, eligible mechanical engineering students at the University of Utah petitioned the National Council of Pi Tau Sigma. The petition was approved and the Utah Pi Xi Chapter was formally installed on May 14, 1948 by National President B. H. Jennings.

The Utah Pi Xi Chapter is a concentration of bright, enthusiastic M. E. students. Leaders for the Student Seminar, the annual Engineers Open House Exhibits, A.S.M.E., student-faculty liaison, and various student projects have traditionally come from the ranks of our chapter. Utah Pi Xi provides opportunities for recognition, fellowship, and involvement for outstanding junior and senior M. E. students at the University of Utah.
